And concrete is effective at sanding extra weight off cheap alloy rims. I’ve never seen a driver’s side wheel curbed that badly.

Our Laguna is a bit like that, with its huge bulbous overhang on the front. My grandad (a good driver who has never had any kind of accident on the roads) scuffed the front bumper coming out of a driveway.
